FLS to build cement production line for Pakistani D G Khan Cement
25 June 2004

Danish cement and minerals processing equipment maker FLSmidth A/S (FLS) will build a cement production line for Pakistani D G Khan Cement for 60 mln euro (US$72.3m), it was reported.

The line will have a production capacity of 6700tpd of cement. FLS will deliver the equipment and the machines to D G Khan in a 20-month period. D G Khan’s production plant is due to be operational in 2007.

FLS said the order would not have a major impact on its 2004 financial results.  FLS has been operating in Pakistan for 90 years and the contract with D. G. Khan Cement will further strengthen its position on the local market, FLS’ administrative director Jorgen Huno Rasmussen said.

D G Khan Cement is owned by Pakistani industrial group Nishat Group.
