From January through May 2004, the Russian Savinsky cement works, part of Eurocement, made 270,000t of cement, a 20 per cent boost year-on-year.  The factory made 62,000t of packaged products, a 32.5 per cent boost Y/Y. Last year the factory made 700,000t of cement, a 41 per cent boost Y/Y, including over 138,000t of packaged products, a more than 40 per cent boost Y/Y. The factory, which has a projected annual capacity of 1.3Mt, targets a 1m tonne output this year.
