Vicem sales domestic sales fall, exports rise Vietman

Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (Vicem) sold 2.11Mt of cement and clinker in the first two months of this year, falling 12.2 per cent from a year earlier, the corporation said on its website.

Vietnam News Brief Service reports that of the total, 1.88Mt of cement and clinker were sold in the domestic market, down 19.8% per cent YoY while the remaining was exported, up 326 per cent.

The corporation produced 3.8Mt of cement and clinker in Jan-Feb period, comprising 2.21Mt of clinker, down 10.3% YoY and 1.61Mt of cement, down 22.7 per cent.

Vicem targets production of 15Mt of clinker and 19Mt of cement this year.
