Last year, cement production rose 11.2% compared to 2010, to 10.52Mt.

Earlier Ukrcement CEO, Petro Lopatyev, forecast that Ukrainian cement factories would be able to produce 10.9Mt of cement in 2012, representing an increase of 4% on 2011. However, he also said that the current year's forecast for a fall in construction work could lead to a fall in cement production.
