Borcim receives positive response to EIA, Turkey

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for a proposed cement plant by Borcim Cement Manufacturing and Trading has received approval by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanism.

The new works, to be situated in the Emet district of Kutahya, will produce OPC, white and Boron Activated Belite (BAB) cement.

The Directorate of Environment, Planning said in a written statement: '"Pursuant to the final EIA report, submitted to Ministry, 'Borçim Cement Factory' project 'environmental impact assessment, a positive decision' is made."

With Borcim having taken these key steps to the establishment of the factory, company chairman, Mehmet Ali Yildirim, said: “We want to complete our work as soon as possible.”
