New factory begin production in Mozambique
02 August 2012

A new 240,000tpa cement factory has started operations at the Belulane Industrial Park in the Boane district of Maputo, local newspaper Noticias, reported.

The factory is reportedly an investment between Turkish and Egyptian companies and imports raw materials from Dubai to ensure monthly production of 20,000tpa. Beluluane is an industrial and duty free area covering a total of around 700 hectares and is about 16 kilometres from the city of Maputo. The Mozambique government reportedly offers a number of incentives such as reduced customs charges on importing raw materials who establish operations in the Beluluane Industrial Park which also has reliable sea and transport links to Southern Africa.
