Busi Legodi has been appointed as PPC Ltd's first black female general manager to oversee operations at its Jupiter plant in Germiston.

Legodi has been with the company for 17 years, having started out at the Hercules plant in Pretoria, as a Laboratory Assistant. She has since held positions in several divisions, ranging from chemical to quality control and packaging logistics. Prior to her recent appointment, Legodi was the Production Manager at the Hercules plant.

“Providing equal opportunities for its employees remains a key priority for PPC's board members and executives. It is for this reason that this leading supplier of cement in Southern Africa recognises the importance of attracting the best in the country, embraces diversity and provides women with a platform to excel,” the company said in a statement.
