Loesche awarded new contract for ACC project

Loesche, in a consortium with KHD, has been awarded a contract for its vertical roller mill technology to be employed at ACC’s Jamul plant in India.

Loecshe will supply its mills type LM 56.3+3 and LM 43.3 D for the new project being undertaken by Holcim group company ACC.

Part of the clinker produced in Jamul will be ground at the cement plant while another part will be processed at grinding terminals, for which a Loesche Mill Type LM 56.3+3 CS equipped with a classifier type LDC will be supplied. The195tph vertical roller mill will be operated with the power of a 5600kW motor.

The LM 43.4 D will be also part of the project and is designed have a capacity of 90tph with a gear box capacity of 1300kW.

Loesche’s scope of supply for the Jamul project will include additional equipment which is delivered in a joint venture by Loesche GmbH, Duesseldorf, as well as by Loesche India Pvt Ltd.

About the Jamul project

The new Jamul clinker plant with a capacity of 2.8Mta is scheduled for completion at ACC’s Jamul site by the end of 2015. The clinker line will replace older plants at Jamul. At the same time grinding capacity at this site is also being replaced. Part of the clinker produced in Jamul is earmarked for the expanded Sindri grinding plant and for the new grinding plant in Kharagpur. This combined capacity expansion will further improve the efficiency of ACC.
