Brazilian cement sales edge ahead
Brazilian cement sales during May 2013 edged ahead by 0.3 per cent YoY to 6Mt, preliminary data from the country’s Sindicato Nacional da Indústria do Cimento (SNIC) shows.
During the January-May period, cement sales totaled 28.1Mt, a rise of 1.3 per cent compared to the 27.76Mt registered in the same period of last year.
Total sales for the 12 months between June 2012 – May 2013 reached 68.7Mt, representing an increase of 2.7 per cent in the corresponding period of the previous year (June 2011 – May 2012).
