Vietnam monthly output up 13% MoM

Cement producers in Vietnam increased their output 13 per cent MoM and 17.6 per cent YoY to 5.2Mta in September, according to the country’s General Statistics Office (GSO).

The GSO also revised down the national output figure for August to 4.6Mt from an earlier estimate of 4.9Mt.

In the first nine months of 2013, Vietnamese cement makers are estimated to have produced 41.8Mt, up 5.5 per cent YoY.

Cement sales are expected to rise by 4-5 per cent to 56-57Mt in 2013, including 48-49Mt of domestic sales.
