Gebr Pfeiffer wins Indonesian order

Gebr Pfeiffer SE has been selected to supply a package of five vertical roller mills to PT Cemindo Gemilang for a new works on Indonesia’s main island of Java.

China’s Sinoma International Engineering Co Ltd, acting as general contractor for a new 10,000tpd cement production line at Bayah, ordered the following milling equipment from Gebr Pfeiffer SE:

• 2 x MPS 5300 B vertical roller mills for raw material grinding
• 2 x MPS 5300 BC vertical roller mills for cement grinding
• 1 x MPS 4500 BK vertical roller mill for coal grinding

The MPS raw mills are designed to achieve a capacity of 400tph each. The throughput rate of the cement mills will be 220tph each and while the coal mill will be 100tph, making it the largest VRM for coal grinding in the world, according to Gebr Pfeiffer.

In addition to the supply of the core components for the grinding plants, the order includes the supply of workshop drawings to enable the local manufacture of the mill components and the supervision of manufacture at Chinese workshops. Moreover, erection and commissioning will be supervised Gebr Pfeiffer specialists.

Delivery of the mills is slated for the third quarter of 2014.
