A total of 55.2Mt of cement was sold over Jan-Nov 2013, up 13 per cent from a year earlier, Le Van Toi, director of the Building Material Department, said.

The volume included 12.5Mt of cement and clinker exports. The main export destinations were the Middle East, Africa, as well as some other Southeast Asian markets.

Cement prices remained unchanged since the September price hike, he added.
