Argentina reports annual consumption gains

Cement consumption in Argentina increased by 16.1 per cent YoY in December to reach 914,964t, latest data from industry association AFCP shows. However, despite the annual increase, the December 2013 figure was 12.6 per cent lower compared to demand in November 2013.

Portland cement shipments by the domestic industry (including exports) were 927,964t in December 2013, also down 12.6 per cent from November's figures, but 14.7 per cent higher YoY.
