Peru: cement dispatches edge ahead

Between January and May 2014, Peru’s cement market expanded by 0.51 per cent YoY to 4,129,906t, according to the latest figures from the domestic cement association, Asocem.

Production rose by 0.95 per cent YoY to 4,231,221t in the first five months of the year, from 4,191,295Mt in the same period a year ago.

Exports jumped from 81,356t to 95,716t, up 17.65 per cent during Jan-May.
