Semen Tonasa plans Papua factory, Indonesia

PT Semen Tonasa plans to develop a new factory in Papua with a total investment of up to IDR3trn (US$247.08m), to cut distribution costs, according to its CEO, Unggul Atas.

Sales in the eastern provinces of Papua and Maluku until August reached 787,408t, down 1.5 per cent from a year earlier. Cement consumption in Papua and Maluku was 1.2Mt in 2013, down two per cent from 1.22Mt a year earlier. (Source: Investor Daily, Indonesia)
