Belarus intends to export more cement to Russia in the years ahead, according to Vice Prime Minister of Belarus Anatoly Kalinin

At a meeting with Russia's leading producer Eurocement Group on 3 October 2014, Mr Kalinin remarked that work is in progress to implement the contractual obligations signed by the two parties, the press service of the Belarus government told BelTA.

At the same time, these exports are about 30 per cent behind the adopted schedule. According to Mr Kalinin, the Belarusian side understands the difficulties of the Russian company regarding the fulfillment of the contractual obligations, adding that he hopes that the obligations will be carried out in full this year, with more Belarusian cement to be supplied to Russia in years to come.

In turn, Eurocement Group President Mikhail Skorokhodov stressed that the company will buy the contracted cement in accordance with the approved schedule for 2014.
