China: Chongqing Conch commissions new line

Chongqing Conch Cement commissioned its third clinker line on 16 November. The new 4500tpd clinker line at Zhongxian was partially contracted by the Housing Engineering Technology Company of the 17th China Metallurgical Construction Group (17MCC Group).

The order for 17MCC Group included 11 sub-contracts for limestone pre-blending storage, converying, kiln, pulverised coal preparation system, storage and conveying for clinker, plus a limestone crushing and conveying system. The electrostatic precipitator and RotoClone dust collection system were also installed on the new dry-process line, which will speed up the decommissioing of outdated production capacity at the plant.

In May 2014, the Chongqing Conch Cement plant also ordered a 200tpd Conch Kawasaki Kiln (CKK) system for processing household waste.
