Ecuador 2014 sales down 2%

Ecuador cement sales dipped in 2014 to 6.47Mt, down two per cent from the 6.60Mt recorded in the previous year, latest data from domestic cement association INECYC shows. Last year's decline follows three consecutive years of annual sales growth in the Latin American country from 2011 to 2013.

During December 2014, monthly sales rose 4.85 per cent to 557,786t compared to November 2014 (532,009t).
