Pakistan nine-month shipments up 4%

Pakistan cement dispatches increased by four per cent to 25.65Mt in the first nine months of the current fiscal compared to 24.78Mt in the same period of the previous year, according to data released by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA).

Local dispatches increased by eight per cent YoY to 20.22Mt in 9MFY15  compared to 18.76Mt in same period of last year. However, cement exports were down by 10 per cent YoY and reached at 5.43Mt in 9MFY15 from 6.02Mt in 9MFY14.

In March, local cement dispatches jumped five per cent YoY to 2.44Mt versus 2.32Mt in the same month of 2014. However, exports in March 2015 dropped by 30 per cent YoY to 0.44Mt (0.63Mt in March 2014).
