US: preliminary April 2015 shipments

Portland and blended cement shipments in the US and Puerto Rico in April 2015 amounted to 7.669Mt, preliminary data from the USGS shows. Imports accounted for 776,781t of total dispatches during the month.

For the first four months of this year, shipments reached 24.09Mt, of which 2.321Mt were imports.

Clinker production for April was 6.102Mt and for the year-to-date the total is expected to be 21.6Mt.
