Senegal: domestic market contracts, exports jump

Senegalese cement producers increased their output by 4.4 per cent in the first four months of 2015 when compared with the same period of 2014, according to the country’s planning and economic study department. Production went up from 1,752,000t to 1,829,400t.

Domestic sales fell 6.4 per cent from 1,123,000t in 4M14 to 1,051,500t in January-April 2014. However, exports jumped 22.1 per cent from 656,500t to 801,500t in the same period.
