Namibia: Ohorongo Cement named NMA Manufacturer of the Year 2015

Ohorongo Cement has been awarded the Namibian Manufacturers Association (NMA) Manufacturer of the Year 2015 Award.

Namibia's sole cement producer scooped the following awards at the annual event held on Thursday:
• Overall winner: NMA Manufacturer of the Year
• Gold Award: NMA Best Ambassador for Manufacturing in Namibia
• Gold Award: NMA Most Environmentally Friendly Manufacturer of the Year
• Silver Award: NMA Corporate Manufacturer of the Year.

Hans-Wilhelm Schütte, MD of Ohorongo Cement (pictured centre) accepted the NMA Manufacturer of the Year award from Namibia's Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Water & Forestry, Anna Shigweda (pictured left) and Brian Black, chairperson of the NMA.

The company was first named NMA Manufacturer of the year in 2013, winning five awards in total that year. In 2014, it also won various awards under different categories.
