Lafarge Cement Jordan posts JOD2.75m 3Q16 loss

Lafarge Cement Jordan posted a loss of JOD2.75m (US$3.9m) in the 3Q16 against profit of JOD8950 (US$12,600) in the same period in 2015, according to a filing of unaudited 3Qfinancial results to the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE).

The cement firm also posted a loss of JOD4.53m in the first nine months of 2016 against a profit of JOD5.5m in the year-ago period.

Nine-month sales fell seven per cent YoY to JOD69.5m from JOD74.7m.
