Thermal Shocks to Burning zone lining due to frequent kiln stoppages.

Any Body can tell me that how many number of stoppages are allowed per year for normal service life of Burning Zone brick lining.

Dear Amir, No-one can specify a number of stoppages allowed. We all know that the number of stoppages should be minimised, but beyond that there are too many potential variables to ever be able to specify an exact number. Very important variables will be the diration of the stop, the amount by which the kiln cools and the rate of reheating when the kiln starts again.

It is not a matter of permission. It depends on kiln diameter and kiln shell condition
