• Re: high free lime

Dear Bazarah Our colleagues mentioned many cases that could cause unnormal burning. I want to add something: you can also determine quantity of FeO in your clinker, FeO especially comes from reducing and hot condition in the kiln, decomposes alite structure with release of additional free lime. Maybe ...

  • Re: Alkalies in pozzolans

Hi Ted Thank you for your answer. You've confirmed my point of view, so I've already sent samples of the pozzolans for mineralogical analysis. Regards Davit

  • Re: spec for cement type is OPC 42.5-R. 3200 softness

Dear svr 1954 In 42.5R 42.5 is 42.5 MPa or 433 kg/sm2 that means that the cement compressive stength after 28 days must be not less than 42.5 MPa (or 433 kg/sm2). R is "Rapid", that means that the cement has early strength and as said Dr. Shah, the compressive strength of the cement is not less than 20 ...

  • Re: Alkalies in pozzolans

Dear Mr Clark I know very well what are pozzolans. Pozzolans during hydration of cement react with Ca(OH)2 (with product of reaction of calcium silicates) and form calcium hydro-silicates, so structure of cement paste hardens and durability, hydraulic and sulphur resistant properties of concrete improve. I asked about ...

  • Re: Use artificial gypsum for cement

Depending on crystal sructure of new gypsum (in this case artifical gypsum) there may be diference on quantity of gypsum for intergrinding with clinker. The only thing yo have to do is correction the quantity of gypsum for normal setting time and early strength of your cement. There will be no problem with quality. Davit Babayan

  • Re: JPF Fan impiller coating

Dear An Could you please tell me more detaily how you install inclind pipe towards the angle of blades ? We have the same problem with our ID fan after preheater tower, but we use pulverised water for lowering temperature. I'll be very grateful to you if you send me a letter about the topic more detaily. My E-mail is ...

  • Alkalies in pozzolans

Dear friends It is well known, how alkalies from clinker influence on properties of cement and concrete (ASR etc.). Can anyone tell me about cement total alkalies influence, when with clinker are intergrinded pozzolans. Pozzolans are perlytes and amount of alkalies in perlytes is up to 7%. In that case the total amount aof alkalies in cement is ...

  • Re: White Cement

Dear Raj Sahu From my experience I can assure you, that alkalies also accelerate seeting and hardening (in early stages) of cements. So, one of the reason of rapid setting of cement-1 may be alkalies also. I have no doubt that 28th day strength of cemet-1 is low than cement-2, because of high quantity of free-lime, alkaies etc. Regards: ...

  • Re: White Cement

Dear Raj. Free lime of course accelerates setting of cement, you can see it in Vicat Initial Seting Time equation correlation: VIST (min) = 216 - 44 x (% free lime) - 0.125 x (m2/kg) - 2.22 (C3A). As you can see free-lime content has great affect on initial setting time, the cause of that is small crystal (like ...

  • Re: catalysis or sintering

Dear Gulam In portland cement kilns takes place burning process. Sintering of material with 20-30% of flux. Flux downs the temperiture of C3S synthesis, because, as you've already known, without a flux it's very difficult to form clniker with necessary mineral composition. For example in the ...
