Algeria starts clinker exports to France29 March 2021, Published under Cement NewsCILAS commenced Algerian clinker exports to France with a 9000t shipment of clinker from the port of Skikda. In the coming weeks, other shipments of 10,000t will leave Algeria for France, according to M Souakri. CILAS sees Biskra plant inauguration18 October 2017, Published under Cement NewsThe new cement plant at Biskra by CILAS was inaugurated on 17 October 2017 in the presence of the Minister of Industry and Jean-Jacques Gauthier, CEO of LafargeHolcim Algérie, among others. CILAS is a joint venture between the Algerian Souakri Group and LafargeHolcim with a 51-49 per cent share split. Algeria: CILAS clinker line successfully commissioned12 July 2016, Published under Cement NewsAlgeria's CILAS saw the successful start-up of its new clinker production line with the ignition of the kiln on 10 July 2016, 11 days ahead of schedule, in the presence of Didier Michel, representing CILAS' parent company LafargeHolcim, and Wang Hui of contractor CBMI.
