Construction forecast group Euroconstruct has published its updated Construction Investment forecasts for 2013-15 which sees a three per cent decline this year across the 19 countries for which it provides forecasts, and a gradual upturn from 2014. Euroconstruct has further reduced its forecasts for European construction output, according to figures released last week. Although 2013 is still expected to be the trough, with construction output predicted to decline by 2.8 per cent, volumes in 2015 are now forecast to be even lower than 2012. Euroconstruct has reduced its forecasts for European construction output for both 2012 and 2013 with a slow recovery expected for 2014. It its latest forecasts published yesterday, the research group expects European output to decline by 4.7 per cent this year, 2.6 percentage points lower than it predicted in June 2012.
