New 1Mta line starts up at San Sebastian de los Reyes, Venezuela07 March 2016, Published under Cement NewsVenezuelan President, Nicolas Maduro, has inaugurated a new line at the San Sebastian de los Reyes cement plant, owned by Industria Venezolana de Cemento (Invecem). The new line will increase Type I cement production by 1Mta in the country, helping to supply cement to infrastructure projects and the Gran Misión Vivienda housing programme. The Sino-Venezuelan project represents an investment of US$168m. |
Venezuela to increase capacity of Cumarebo works18 June 2013, Published under Cement NewsIndustria Venezolana de Cemento (Invecem) will increase capacity at its Cumarebo plant, in the northeast of Falcón state, according to the Minister of Basic and Intermediate Industries, Ricardo Menéndez. The plant expansion will be carried out by means of a capacity increase in the kiln from 3000 to 4200tpd – a project which will see an investment of US$75m. At the plant, works are ongoing to replace the clinker cooler and install a precalciner. |
