Lafarge Algeria awards Sinoma Djamoura contract30 May 2014, Published under Cement NewsSinoma has been awarded its second cement plant project in Algeria as the Lafarge-Souakri joint venture signed the turnkey contract for its Djamoura works in Biskra. The new works will have a production capacity of nearly 3Mta and represents an initial investment of DZD32bn (US$0.4bn). Output from the plant will help the development of Algeria’s eastern region as well as reduce its reliance on imports from 2016 onwards.
