Dujiangyan Lafarge Cement stake to be acquired

Sichuan Shuangma Cement plans to issue 148m shares to Lafarge China Overseas Holding at CNY832m (US$137.4m) to acquire a 25 per cent of Dujiangyan Lafarge Cement. Lafarge China currently holds 48.14 per cent of Shuangma Cement. Net assets of Dujiangyan Lafarge Cement were appraised at CNY3.33bn by September end 2013, appreciating 20.62 per cent.

Sichuan Shuangma Cement Co says it plans to acquire a 25 per cent stake in Dujiangyan Lafarge Cement from Lafarge China Offshore Holding Company for about CNY832m (US$136.5m). Sichuan Shuangma has said the acquisition will be via shares issuance of about 147.58m shares at CNY5.64/share.

Sichuan Shuangma Cement Co Ltd, a Shenzhen-listed producer and distributor of cement, said that it will post a net loss of CNY5m to CNY10m (US$0.8m-1.6m) in the first three quarters of 2012, compared with a net profit of CNY 123m in the same period of 2011.

Sichuan Shuangma expects first-half net loss, China

Sichuan Shuangma Cement said it expects to post a CNY10-15m (US$1.7m-2.4m) net loss in the first half of 2012 compared with a net profit of CNY89.91m for the same period of 2011. A number of Chinese producers have issued profit warnings over recent weeks as slower demand and continued pricing pressures are expected to hurt first half profits.

Sichuan Shuangma Cement Co Ltd, a Shenzhen-listed producer and distributor of cement, said on 2 July 2012 that it plans to issue no more than 121 million shares to 10 designated investors at CNY7.42 a share to raise up to CNY903m. The funds raised from the issuance will be used to acquire a 25 per cent stake in a Dujiangyan, Sichuan-based cement company from Lafarge China Offshore Holding Co Ltd.
