The 5800tpd L’Amali II production line, awarded to Sinoma Overseas Development Co Ltd (SODC), is located in Olavarría, Argentina, 350km from the country’s capital Buenos Aires. The plant is owned by Argentina’s leading cement producer, Loma Negra, a subsidiary of InterCement (Brazil). The L’Amali works is the largest cement facility in the country, and Line II marks the second co-operation between SODC and InterCement.

SODC’s scope of work included engineering design, supply, civil construction, erection, commissioning and training. The project spanned the complete cement production process: from limestone crushing to cement packing and palletising, as well as tie-in works with the existing line.
