CEMEX Holdings Philippines Inc has teamed up with Liwayway Marketing Corp to address the management of plastic waste in the Philippines. Total US and Puerto Rican shipments of Portland and blended cement, including imports, remained stable at 7.1 per cent in December 2023, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS). Holcim Mexico will invest US$55m in the construction of a new mill at its cement plant located in the municipality of Macuspana , Tabasco. The mill will process the company's  ECOPlanet calcined clay cement range. Total cement dispatches of Portland and blended cement in the USA and Puerto Rico, including imports, picked up by 2.6 per cent YoY to 8.7Mt in November 2023, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).
