FLSmidth reports positive overall results

FLSmidth released its annual report on Wednesday and reported a five per cent order increase to DKK19.17bn (US$3.15bn) in 2017, driven by stronger offtake in the minerals division in 2H17 and by total service activities, but revenue declined one per cent to DKK18bn. Full-year EBITA advanced 18 per cent YoY to DKK1.515bn from DKK1.289bn in 2016, while the corresponding EBITA margin rose from 7.1 to 8.4 per cent.

Denmark-based FLSmidth reported a 14 per cent fall in revenues in 3Q17 to DKK4101m (US$ 642.4m) from DKK4774m in 3Q16. FLSmidth reports 11% rise in revenue

FLSmidth reported an 11 per cent rise in revenue and a 25 per cent increase in EBITA in the 2Q17, driven by continued momentum in in orders from service activities. Consolidated order intake grew by five per cent in the three month period while revenue rose to DKK4585m from DKK4135m a year earlier. “Contracts in Denmark and Britain are forthcoming,” according to Eurocement’s CEO, Mikhail Skorokhod, as the company expands its global reach. FLSmidth reported a 19 per cent increase in order intake for 1Q16 to DKK5.281bn (US$797m), mainly due to the receipt of a large order in a quarter which is usually quiet.
