HeidelbergCement held its 133rd Annual General Meeting on Thursday 12 May 2022 in virtual form announcing  that f or the 2021 financial year, the shareholders will receive a dividend of EUR2.40 per share (previous year: EUR2.20). Total distribution amounts to around EUR458m. Opterra orders 300GWh for renewable energy

Statkraft, Europe's largest producer of renewable energy, has signed a further power purchase agreement (PPA) with Opterra , one of Germany's leading cement manufacturers, on the supply of renewable power from onshore wind and solar power. Cemex is joining forces with integrated chemicals and energy company Sasol ecoFT and renewable energy company E NERTRAG in a milestone project that will combine CO 2 with hydrogen to produce sustainable aviation fuel.     The consortium will source green hydrogen generated exclusively from wind and solar energy from E NERTRAG . FLSmidth has now received regulatory clearances from the Australian, South African, Peruvian and Chilean authorities for its acquisition of thyssenkrupp's mining business. MDG Handling Solutions (MDG) has been awarded participation in the Spirit project of HeidelbergCement, which is being carried out at the Leimen and Schelklingen cement plants, Germany.
