Cementos Molins closed 2022 with revenues amounting to EUR1268m, up 31 per cent compared to previous year, driven by sales increase across all businesses and the significant contribution of acquisitions completed last year. CEMEX España enters CCU agreement with ETFuels

CEMEX España has signed an agreement with the green fuel producer ETFuels to transform CO 2 from the CEMEX cement plant in Alicante , Spain, into green fuels. Holcim España has invested EUR8m in expanding its alternative fuel facilities at its Villaluenga de la Sagra cement plant in Toledo, Castilla-La Mancha province. Spanish cement consumption slipped 0.8 per cent YoY to 14.9Mt in 2022, according to the Spanish cement association, Oficemen. Cementos Portland Valderrivas plans EUR5.48m Hontoria investment

Cementos Portland Valderrivas plans to invest EUR5.48m in the installation of a chlorine bypass at its plant in Hontoria , Palencia, Spain. The bypass will enable the plant to increase the use of alternative fuels and reduce its carbon emissions. While still awaiting final company sign-off, the project has been approved by the General Secretariat for Industry and will receive a subsidy of EUR0.54m.

Votorantim to invest in energy efficiency at Toral de los Vados plant

In line with Votorantim ’s Sustainability 2030 commitments, the company is investing EUR15m to improve the energy efficiency of the Toral de los Vados factory in Spain. With this investment Votorantim expect to reduce the plant's electricity consumption by seven per cent, equivalent to the average annual consumption of 1600 homes, in addition to reducing the use of fossil fuels, mainly petcoke.
