Carthage Cement begins exporting cement to Italy22 June 2020, Published under Cement NewsTunisia’s Carthage Cement launched its first export shipment of 4100t of EC-certified Portland cement to Italy last Friday. The dispatch is reportedly part of a larger contract to supply 250,000t of cement and clinker to Europe. "Our company has got a certification of the products in compliance with the requirements of the European standards, which has helped us be the first to enter the European market and we intend to remain there," indicated Brahim Sanaa, CEO, Carthage Cement. |

The carbon capture plant in Brevik is part of the Norwegian carbon capture demonstration project to be funded by the Norwegian government. Cementos Cosmos to burn tyres at Toral de los Vados10 June 2020, Published under Cement NewsThe Toral de los Vados cement works, operated by Cementos Cosmos, will be able to use waste tyres as alternative fuel following the granting of an Integrated Environmental Authorisation. Fire at Mannersdorf cement works09 June 2020, Published under Cement NewsA fire broke out at Lafarge Zementwerke’s Mannersdorf cement plant in Austria at around 19h on Sunday, 7 June 2020. According to the company, the starting point was the fuel store and the fire spread to a conveyor system. However, the cause of the fire is not yet known.
