Cement dispatches in Colombia fell 19.1 per cent YoY to 0.941Mt in March 2024 from 1.163Mt in March 2023, according to the nation’s statistics office, DANE. Bangladesh forecasts demand for clinker by 2027

Bangladesh has estimated a significant growth in demand for raw materials for steel and cement industries by 2027. Italian cement output continues to expand, rising 10 per cent YoY in February 2024, according to the latest data from Italian concrete association, Federbeton. Saudi Arabian cement sales increased by 12.5 per cent YoY in April 2024 but fell 18.4 per cent compared to the previous month. According to Aljazira Capital, domestic cement dispatches in April stood at 2.92Mt, compared to 2.6Mt in the same month in the previous year, due to the base month having 11 extra days of Ramadan. Pakistan’s cement industry’s total cement dispatches during April 2024 were 2.94Mt, compared to 2.95Mt in April 2023. This comprises local cement at 2.33Mt against 2.53Mt in April 2023, showing a decline of 7.99 per cent. Cement traders are seeing price hikes despite stable fuel prices, according to Ghana Business News. All three grades of cement produced by Ghana Cement (Ghacem) have seen an upward trend.
