Yet Another Raw Mix Design program

The file here below replaces the previous one.
For an unknown reason the previous was not working properly.

Hello Silastman,

It it easy to add c4af or c2s.
You simply need to add these formulas:

  • in cell M23, for c4af: = 3.043*K17/F17
  • in cell N23, for c2s: = (8.601*I17+5.068*J17+1.079*K17-3.071*L17)/F17

Of course, you can add columns, as needed for constraints or for analyses.
You could also use variants of the Bogues formulas taking free lime into account as well as Chlorine, Sulfur, alkalies. It is relatively flexible.

Nevertheless, this is really a toy model only.
It works only for one kiln at a time, doesn't know about burner, calciner, gases, ..., doesn't allow for more refined constraints like ratios of raw materials for quarry management, precalciner/burner ratio, alternative fuels substitution ratio, ... . Nevertheless it could be useful.

re Yet Another Raw Mix Design program

Dear Mr. Lalbatros,

Thank you providing the rawmix design. We have a four component system and I would like to know the effect of the recirculating dust(EP dust) which accounts for 6-8% and coming back to system with higher LSF of around 150 and we do have a bypass system in our kilns. My question is what would be the influence of the EP dust and the bypass on the rawmix design. Will they have an impact or not. The bypass material is around 2%.

Regards

Arvind
