Lehigh Cement Co LLC orders new plant

KHD Humboldt Wedag Inc has signed a contract with Lehigh Cement Co LLC (HeidelbergCement) for the engineering, supply of equipment and structural steel and advisory services for the erection and commissioning of a cement plant in the USA. The order is reported to be for more than EUR100m.

Gebr Pfeiffer awarded Samrat Cement contract

Grinding specialist Gebr Pfeiffer has received the order for a coal grinding system to be installed at Samrat Cement Co Pvt Ltd’s new plant in the Dang region of southern Nepal. While the new kiln system will be supplied by KHD, the German contractor has ordered a MPS 225 BK coal mill from Gebr Pfeiffer to produce pulverised coal for the coal-fired kiln. CG Cement place order for vertical roll mill

Chaudhary Group Cement (CGC) has placed an order with Germany-based Loesche for a vertical roller mill at its cement plant in the Palpa region of central Nepal. The order, which was placed through KHD, will see the installation of a 50tph Loesche LM 26.3 D coal mill, scheduled to enter operation by 2018. The new CGC plant has a clinker capacity of 3900tpd. It will extract limestone from a nearby mine.

Nuh Cimento awards KHD large upgrade project

KHD has been awarded the contract to upgrade Nuh Cimento’s existing ball mill grinding unit in Hereke-Kocaeli located in Marmara region of Turkey. With this upgrade, the plant will increase the grinding capacity from 212tph to 408tph at 4000Blaine. This will be the largest upgrade project to date for KHD, the company noted in a statement. KHD has been awarded a contract by Cementos Argos for a works in Colombia. Cementos Argos ordered three Pyrojet Burners for coal and gas firing, to be installed at its plant in Yumbo, Cali.
