VostokCement completes repair of kiln

Russia’s VostokCement has completed the repair of the second rotary kiln at its Teploozersk facility. During two months of work, the lining was replaced, the smoke pump was repaired and a new foundation for the sixth support of the furnace was filled in. The heat exchanger has also been replaced, which will improve heat exchange in the furnace and optimise fuel consumption, according to the company.

Dal Machinery & Design completed Bouskoura cement order

Dal Machinery & Design (DMD) has manufactured a 4m diameter kiln outlet seal for LafargeHolcim's Bouskoura cement plant in Morocco. The order was placed in November 2020 and was completed in June 2021. An additional order was placed for a kiln outlet shell and supervision service. The kiln outlet shell was manufactured with a diameter of 4.4m. Delivery was on April 2021 and installation jobs will be performed within June 2021.

Cemex announces plan to address US cement shortage

Cemex has announced plans to optimise its supply chain to address cement shortages experienced throughout the western US. The project will leverage the company’s supply chain synergies in North America to alleviate cement shortages and project delays in California, Arizona and Nevada, according to a press release. Teploozersky Cement completes kiln maintenance project

Russia’s Teploozersky Cement (Vostok Cement), based in the Far Eastern district, has completed the scheduled maintenance of its No 3 rotary kiln. Work on the  kiln was focussed on correcting the position of the furnace units and repair. In addition, worn sections of the lining were corrected and operations have now resumed. The plant is currently completing the repair of Kiln 1.

National Cement to invest US$250m in Ragland
