Ukraine cement output up 6% in 1Q20

Ukrainian cement plants have increased their output by 6.3 per cent  YoY in the first quarter of 2020, according to Esmerk CIS News. In January-March 2020 a total of 1.625Mt of cement were produced in the country. If the current growth trend continues, production volumes are expected to exceed 10Mt by the end of the year.

Cement dispatches in Colombia fell by 28.6 per cent to 739,700t in March 2020 from 1,035,800t in March 2019, according to the latest data by the country’s statistics agency, DANE. Cementos Pacasmayo reports 4% fall in revenue

Peru’s Cementos Pacasmayo has seen a 4.4 per cent YoY fall in revenue to PEN299.3m (US$88.88m) in the first quarter of 2020, against PEN313.2m in the 1Q19. Total shipments of Portland and blended cement, including imports, in the US and Puerto Rico increased by 7.4 per cent YoY to 6.9Mt in January 2020, according to data from the US Geological Survey (USGS). Peru's cement market contracted by 46.8 per cent YoY to 0.488Mt in March 2020, according to the Peruvian cement association, Asocem. Of this total national dispatches accounted for 0.481Mt. Total shipments of Portland and blended cement, including imports, in the US and Puerto Rico in December 2019 increased eight per cent YoY to 6.7Mt, according to newly-released data from the US Geological Survey (USGS). Cement demand in Argentina fell 46.5 per cent to 502,541t in March 2020 when compared to March 2019 when consumption reached 940,167t, according to the country’s cement association, AFCP.
