Cement dispatches in Colombia slipped 0.8 per cent YoY to 1.114Mt in October 2023 from 1.123Mt in October 2022, reported the country's statistics office, DANE. Cement production in Italy declined by eight per cent YoY in September 2023, according to the Italian concrete association, Federbeton. When compared with the 2015-baseline index of 100, output fell  to 93. Leading cement producers in Russia have warned domestic regulators of a 17-30 per cent rise in production costs next year, caused by continually increasing costs related to logistics, energy and personnel. Cement demand in Iran has increased by 16.3 per cent YoY to 6.07Mt in October 2023, reports the Iranian Cement Association. Clinker production slipped 2.3 per cent YoY to 6.93Mt, but cement output saw a 12.3 per cent advance in October 2023 when compared with October 2022. The country exported 0.47Mt of cement, up 20.5 per cent YoY, but clinker exports declined by 15.2 per cent YoY to 0.67Mt in October 2023.

Cement dispatches in Peru declined by nine per cent YoY to 1.082Mt in October 2023 from 1.189Mt in October 2022, according to Asocem, the country's cement association. Total shipments of Portland and blended cement shipments (including imports) in the USA and Puerto Rico slipped slightly to 10.6Mt in August 2023 when compared with August 2022, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).  Of the total blended cement volume, 5.7Mt or 98 per cent, was Portland limestone cement (Type IL). Cement consumption in Argentina slipped by 0.6 per cent YoY in October 2023 to 1,125,049t from 1,131,509t in October 2022, reports the country’s cement association, AFCP. Cement consumption in Colombia declined 4.9 per cent to 1.131Mt in September 2023 from 1.19Mt in September 2022, according to DANE, the country’s statistics office.
