Finnsementi orders slag mill from Gebr Pfeiffer

Finnsementti (CRH group) has awarded Gebr Pfeiffer a contract for the supply of a MVR 1800 C-4 slag grinding mill type. The new slag grinding plant will be built next to a steel works in Finland. Gebr Pfeiffer will supply the complete equipment from the slag dosing and conveying system to the outlet of the process filter including the hot gas generator, process fans and all main motors. Finnsementii has announced that it is investing EUR12m in a new blastfurnace slag mill at its Raahe plant in Finland. The plant, which will be built on the Lapaluoto industrial site, will double Raahe's existing milling capacity. Askari Cement orders ESP conversions from CTP Team Srl

CTP Team Srl will install new bag filters at Askari Cement Ltd's Nizampur and Wah cement plants, Pakistan. The new bag filters will be constructed from electrostatic precipitator (ESP) conversions and are to be installed on both kiln and raw mills using CTP's SWAP technology. Marco Ernesto Donghi, sales director of CTP Team, and Mustafa Kausar, managing director of Askari Cement Ltd, signed the contract for the order earlier this week.

Taiwan Cement's shipping subsidiary orders bulk carriers

Taiwan Cement has announced that its shipping subsidiary, Ta-ho Maritime, has placed an order at Japanese yard Sumitomo Heavy Industries for three 84,200dwt kamsarmax bulk carriers. The shipbuilding contract comprises a firm order for two ships at US$35m each and option for an additional ship. The company will decide on the execution of the option before 30 September 2019. Arab Swiss Engineering Company (ASEC) and the Iraqi conglomerate KAR Group have announced signing a three-year agreement for the operation and maintenance of Qarachough cement plant. CYCNA (Cruz Azul group) commissioned a Loesche cement grinding plant in Tepezalá, Mexico, last year, and this summer two more Loesche coal grinding plants for petcoke grinding will be installed at the Lagunas and Hidalgo cement plants. Geocycle (LafargeHolcim subsidiary) has taken delivery of a new UNTHA XR mobil-e waste shredder in  Dorchester, South Carolina, USA. India’s Shree Cement has awarded Gebr Pfeiffer with an order to equip its grinding plant in Pune, Maharashtra. The MVR 6000 C-6 mill can alternately produce 300tph of OPC at a fineness of 3100 cm²/g according to Blaine, PPC containing as much as 35 per cent of fly ash to a fineness of 3500cm²/g, or 180tph of GGBFS at a fineness of 4500cm²/g. Turkey’s Sonmez Cimento Yapi ve Madencilik has signed a turnkey EPC contract with CTP Team (Italy) for a WHR unit at its Sonmez Cement plant.
