The US economy is strong. While PCA never bought into a recession scenario, its Fall Forecast (early October 2023) expected a modest economic growth slowdown. The US Portland Cement Association (PCA) is joining a coalition of associations in filing a lawsuit against the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regarding the Particulate Matter (PM) 2.5 emissions standard. Portland Cement Association (PCA) has announced new leadership for its board of directors. Massimo Toso has been elected chairman of the PCA. The Portland Cement Association (PCA) has urged the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to reconsider enforcing a proposed lower, fine particulate matter (PM) National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS).
