Cimpor’s cement plant in Alhandra, Portugal, recently completed a modernisation programme to improve its environmental performance and energy efficiency. In addition to installing a new waste heat recovery system with an upgraded filtration network, the plant’s Line 7 upgrade also included an improved cooler dedusting system and a new chlorine bypass line.
