Logistics in the German building materials industry

When talking about the building materials industry, and cement production in particular, the focus in Europe is usually on the significant increase in product prices in recent years or the high CO2 emissions of the industry. However, what is rarely discussed is the importance of these products for freight transport, and the current and future demands placed on the transport system in supplying construction sites with the necessary raw materials.
