Mitigating baghouse corrosion following ammonia injection

While ammonia-based NOx reduction systems have proven highly effective at reducing emissions, they have also created operating conditions that can accelerate corrosion in ageing baghouses originally designed for a very different environment. One cement plant identified the root cause of this unexpected deterioration, evaluated potential repair strategies and implemented a long-term solution that has delivered reliable performance for more than seven years.
