Espandar Cement initiated a series of production optimisation projects across its portfolio of plants, including a low capex, high impact programme at its Arta Ardebil Cement Company’s (AACC) plant. New calciner burners, air leakage control measures, horseshoe installation at cooler inlet and improved raw mix design resulted in lower specific power and heat consumption, while at the same time increasing kiln capacity from 2800tpd to 3200tpd with no major capital investment.
