Lomax, the concrete division of Loma Negra, collaborated with a tyre manufacturing company located adjacent to the Lomax plant to reuse groundwater normally discarded by the tyre factory. The water, which is extracted by the tyre company but then not used in its production process, is now being piped from the tyre facility directly to Lomax for concrete production. By working together, the companies save on average 225m3 of water each day, or 82,000m3 per year, lowering groundwater depletion.
