Energy and freight market update: Frank Brannvoll and Maria Vasyutenko, Brannvoll ApS (Denmark)

Frank O Brannvoll established his own company Brannvoll ApS in 2014. Energy price forecasting within the oil, coal, petcoke and carbon markets is a major part of the services provided. Frank also has the position of Energy Adviser for Cimeurope and supplies a monthly update of the energy complex in International Cement Review.

Maria Vasyutenko has been a freight market analyst at ISM (International Seaborne Market) since 2015, delivering freight market research, analysis and forecasts for the dry bulk market with a focus on the Atlantic basin. Ms Vasyutenko has also been associated with Brannvoll ApS since 2019, providing freight rate dynamics for key commodities on main shipping routes for Cemreview analysis and ad hoc analyses for clients on bulk freight.

Since the start of 2020, Amr Nader has served as the Chief Strategy, Operations and Industrial Excellence Officer at Yanbu Cement Co. Between 2017-19, he operated as advisor to the company's CEO for Strategic Planning & Performance Management.

Solomon Baumgartner is currently the CEO of Lafarge Egypt. After joining LafargeHolcim in 1998, Solomon has held many prestigious managerial jobs within the company. This includes being a Commissioning Engineer, Plant Manager, Technical Director and SVP of Operations, in a vast array of cultures and countries such as Madagascar, United States and Switzerland.

Most notably, in February 2018, Solomon was crowned as the Head of Cement Manufacturing & Project Management Nationwide, then later served as the CEO of Holcim Technology and Services.
